 G Koop first gained notable recognition while producing for the Bay Area’s music giants, Foreign Legion, which helped him quickly catapult to high profile gigs with the likes of Young Buck, Nelly, Obie Trice, and most recently on the groundbreaking collaboration between Freeway and Jake One.
Joining Koop on keys for a set of boundary pushing funk and improvisational grooves will be his longtime friend and collaborator, Graham Richards. Richards, a Texan resident, has been an integral figure in Denton TX's Renaissance of Jazz and Funkc and can be found breaking new ground during any one of his many regular performances.
Since the late nineties, Koop and Graham’s musical brilliance continue to reach new heights anytime they're together playing their instruments! Since both first attending Berklee School of Music, they have since played side by side in such bands as Steak Haus, Peoples Quintet, and Jrod Indigo and the Pheremones
Also performing with Koop and Richards will be another Berklee grad and one of the top percussionists in the Bay Area, Mr. Max McVeety (Crown City Rockers). In addition, Grammy award winning percussionist/producer Bobby Ozuna will also participate, as well as the ever talented Greg Kehret (Pickpocket Ensemble) on Bass.

Loaded for Bear was formed in October of 2007 near Portland, Oregon as a slow confluence of mutual musical interests centering around a growing collection of songs originally written for the piano. After more than a year of writing and arranging, the four-piece spent the fall of 2008 and winter of 2009 recording and mixing their full-length debut album ‘A Following Sea’ with Justin Phelps of Hawthorne Bridge Recording. The record was mastered by Ed Brooks at RFI in Seattle in the spring and was released in July of 2009. The music is atmospheric, melodic, piano-based rock backed by progressive beats and autumnal layers of guitars, organs, Rhodes, and strings. The trance-like, dreamy vocals and haunting post-rock elements make music that deals in images and moods. The songs are pieces of hills and fog and trees and creeks and space and old-world carnival and a compass rose.
