Beth Goolsby is a painter currently living and working in Oakland, California. Born in Texas in 1975, her family moved all around the country until finally settling in San Francisco eleven years ago. As a kid Beth was exposed to art through her mother--a painter and sculptor--and her grandfather, who was a photographer. Finding inspiration through the art and design of the Bauhaus, mid-century graphic and product design, as well as the pop culture of the US and Japan, Beth absorbs and assimilates such concepts into a body of work that is uniquely her own.
